‘NCIS’ couple in new show on Paramount+
‘Tony and Ziva’ trailer has Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pable on ‘NCIS’
The first “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” teaser drops with views of reunited Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo running for their lives in style and in Europe.
Finally: Look below for the first full trailer for “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” is here for the world of fans waiting for the return of the couple known as Tiva.
To state the obvious, Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) still have that perfect sizzle in the “NCIS” reunion series coming later this year to Paramount+.
The couple briefly live the dream in Paris, running their security firm while caring for their 12-year-old daughter, Tali (Isla Gie). But their happily ever after gets blown apart, sending the family on the run throughout Europe in the action comedy series.
Here’s what we learned in the trailer, which will be aired officially during CBS’ May 5 “NCIS” finale (9 ET/PT).
Tali is being tracked!
The family cannot get past their “NCIS” past. Ziva explains to Tali why she needs a bodyguard. Despite the precautions and a SAS-trained nanny, Sophie (Lara Rossi), Tali is nearly kidnapped in broad daylight, setting the show in motion.
Ziva breaks into her hidden weapons collection as the family is forced into action and on the run. “Have I ever told you how deeply I appreciate your paranoia?” asks Tony, eyeing Ziva’s arsenal.
Tiva is still not a defined relationship
Even while raising their daughter in France, the famously on-again-off-again couple remains undefinable. Ziva tries to explain it as “on again, maybe again, kind of again and where we are now.”
And while on the run, Tony tells Ziva over a candlelight dinner that he could “never ask for a better safehouse roomie.”
There are laughs, action, and a kind of romance in Europe!
So the whole “couple thing” is still a work in progress. Still, sparks of romance, action, car chases and fight scenes are glimpsed in the trailer. So is Tony, diplomatically negotiating peace at gunpoint rather than “a lot of shooting, a lot of pointless death.
“Does that sound good to anybody?” Tony asks. We won’t answer that question.
When does ‘Tony & Ziva’ come to Paramount+?
The series is scheduled for the fall. But Paramount+ has not revealed the exact release date. Stay tuned.

Met Gala 2025 red carpet: Live updates
NEW YORK – It’s fashion’s biggest night at the Met Gala.
The annual Met Gala returns for 2025 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the first Monday in May. This year’s Met ball, an invite-only event overflowing with A-list talent, will help fund and correspond with the museum’s Costume Institute and its spring exhibit, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
The exhibit – and the night’s dress code, “Tailored for You” – will highlight Black dandyism. With celebrity attendees including A$AP Rocky, Spike Lee, Janelle Monaé, Usher and more, expect to see a red carpet full of immaculate suiting, custom couture and inventive takes on tailoring, hopefully with a focus on Black history and personal style.
USA TODAY has an exclusive spot on the red carpet, so follow along for all the top moments from the night:
Met Gala 2024: Zendaya’s outfit change, Usher explains his look
The stars were out at the 2024 Met Gala. USA TODAY’s Anika Reed had a front row seat to the action and chatted with Usher about his look.
Pharrell, one of the co-chairs of the event, arrives as cool as ever in a pearl-encrusted suit jacket and sunglasses, with his wife rocking LV tights in support of her designer husband. His jacket had 15,000 pearls and took 400 hours to create.
Diana Ross knows how to make a grand entrance. In an 18-foot-long train, the enduring diva stunned in a white feathered cape over a bejeweled gown.
She was flanked by her son Evan Ross, who helped her adjust her oversized feathered hat
Lewis Hamilton breezes to the top of the Met steps, almost as quickly as he drives his racecars, in a cream-colored tuxedo and matching bow tie and hat, adorned with a golden brooch.
Colman Domingo arrived in a cape and later revealed a perfectly tailored suit underneath.
Domingo rounded out the early arrivals of the co-chairs in an expertly tailored, glittering black and silver suit jacket. Missing from the co-chair arrivals: A$AP Rocky and Rihanna. Perhaps they’ll shut down the carpet again like they did in 2023?
LaLa Anthony, one of the Vogue livestream hosts, is in archival Off-White by the late Virgil Abloh.
Anna Wintour arrives in a pale blue coat atop a white gown with her signature blonde bob. The top Vogue editor has revolutionized the Met Gala since taking the helm in the ‘90s, making it one of the top events of the year.
Teyana Taylor is one of the early arrivals as a Vogue livestream host, donning a wine-colored, strong-shouldered cape atop a black suit, complete with a complementary durag, top hat, cane and gloves.
Alongside her adjusting her look on the carpet is Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter.
Rain or shine, the stars show out for Met Gala 2025
Despite a rainy forecast for the first Monday in May, the stars are set to be out for one of the biggest events of the year.
The carpet this year is a shade of midnight blue, dotted with white and yellow Anemone Honorine Jobert flowers blooming amid greenery lining the famed Met steps. The usually bustling Fifth Avenue, typically crammed with onlookers from across the street, is quiet this year, potentially signaling a VVIP arrival at some point tonight.
Met Gala 2025 theme: Black dandyism
The theme coincides with the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute’s spring exhibit, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which the institute describes as a “cultural and historical examination of Black style over three hundred years through the concept of dandyism.”
Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity,” the exhibit theme explores how the multicultural blend of African and European styles informed Black identity. Black dandyism became a practice in which Black people – and specifically Black men – used the power of personal style as a form of resistance, and a way for them to push back on societal limitations and negative perceptions in terms of race, class, gender and sexuality.
What time does the Met Gala start?
Held on the first Monday of May, the gala will take place May 5. The carpet usually kicks off with first arrivals around 5 p.m., and coverage airs and streams beginning at 6 p.m.
Where can I watch Met Gala 2025?
To check out the fierce fashion in real time, stay tuned to USA TODAY’s updates all night.
The official Met Gala livestream will be broadcast across Vogue’s digital platforms, including the magazine’s official YouTube channel.
E! is also airing a red-carpet special, kicking off at 6 p.m. ET/PT and co-hosted by Zanna Roberts Rassi, Maria Taylor, Elaine Welteroth, Yvonne Orji and fashion designer Christian Siriano. A separate livestream special, airing from 6:30-8 p.m. ET, will be available across E!’s social media platforms, E! Online and streaming service Peacock.

Mike Myers. Kid Cudi. Why these names are important to the Diddy trial
What we know about the case against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
The trial against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is kicking off. How strong is the case against him? Here’s what we know now.
The trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs kicked off May 5, cracking the seal on what is expected to be a closely watched and scandal-ridden celebrity trial.
Potential jurors shuffled into a Manhattan courtroom on a gray Monday in New York City as lawyers for both sides prepared to winnow down the class of people who will be entrusted with the fate of one of the biggest names in music.
Combs is on trial for an array of federal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Finding a group of jurors unfamiliar with Combs, who once ruled the world of hip-hop, and his recent legal struggles presents a unique challenge − a fact evident in the questions posted to potential candidates.
In addition to questions about a history of sexual assault, jurors were given a list of people and places related to Combs in some ways.
The names included Michael B. Jordan, Kid Cudi, Cassie Ventura, Michelle Williams, Mike Myers, Dallas Austin, Lauren London and Dawn Richard.
Diddy on Trial newsletter: Step inside the courtroom with USA TODAY as Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces sex crimes and trafficking charges. Subscribe to the newsletter.
The likely reason Kid Cudi was on the list of celebrities shown to jurors
The list, a who’s who of Hollywood and music elite, paints a picture of Combs’ far-reaching influence in the entertainment industry.
Kid Cudi, an Ohio-born rapper who was briefly romantically involved with Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, is likely on the list as a 2023 civil lawsuit from Ventura against Combs accused the hip-hop mogul of threatening to blow up Cudi’s car. (Ventura and Kid Cudi briefly dated “during a rough patch” in her relationship with Combs, she said.) Cudi’s vehicle later allegedly exploded in his driveway around the time Ventua alleges Combs made the threat.
The alleged arson incident also appeared to be part of prosecutors’ case against Combs. In a Sept. 17 letter to the judge, the U.S. attorney for New York’s Southern District claimed that in early January 2012, Combs’ “co-conspirators set fire to” an unnamed individual’s vehicle “by slicing open the car’s convertible top and dropping a Molotov cocktail inside the interior.”
Rolling Stone reported a Los Angeles City Fire Department report confirmed Kid Cudi’s Porsche was set on fire by an “incendiary device” on Jan. 9, 2012, in Los Angeles.
In a 2023 statement to The New York Times, Kid Cudi confirmed Cassie’s claim that his car had exploded.
USA TODAY has reached out to Kid Cudi’s rep for comment.
Cassie, Dawn Richard have both sued Diddy
Ventura, who is also on the list, alleged in a bombshell lawsuit in 2023 that Combs had trafficked, sexually assaulted and physically abused her during their decade-long relationship. The two “amicably” settled the lawsuit a day after Cassie’s filing, and Combs’ team alluded to a “substantial eight-figure settlement” in court documents for his criminal case.
Last May, a 2016 hotel surveillance video exclusively shared by CNN showed Combs kicking, hitting and dragging the singer – actions that were first described in her legal complaint. Days later, Combs issued a video apology, saying he took “full responsibility for my actions in that video.”
Richard, a former member of the girl group Danity Kane, is likely on the list as she filed a lawsuit last year alleging she witnessed Combs’ abuse of Ventura and was also sexually assaulted and deprived food, sleep and pay by the “Bad Boy Records” founder.
What do the other celebrities on the list have to do with Combs?
Dallas Austin, a fellow music producer, came up in the business at a similar time to Combs, and may have made the list for his close childhood relationship with Kim Porter, a longtime romantic partner of Diddy’s.
Actress Lauren London, who also appears on the list, has been open about Combs’ support for her in the wake of her late partner, rapper Nipsey Hussle’s death.
It is not immediately clear why Williams, Jordan or Myers made the list, though there is a brief segment in “Austin Powers,” among Myers’ most famous movies, that pokes fun at the music mogul. USA TODAY has reached out to all of their reps for comment.
What federal charges does Diddy face?
Combs is charged with two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and one count of racketeering.
Federal authorities claim Combs turned his “multi-faceted business empire” into a “criminal enterprise” in which he and his associates engaged in kidnapping, arson and physical violence, sex trafficking and forced labor, among other alleged crimes.
Could Diddy go to jail?
Yes.
If convicted on the racketeering charge, Combs could face life in prison, while the statutory minimum sentence for sex trafficking is 15 years and for transportation to engage in prostitution is a maximum of 10 years.
The disgraced music mogul is already in custody, and, despite repeated attempts at bail, has remained confined to the Special Housing Unit in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. He has been in jail since his arrest on Sept. 16, 2024.

Colman Domingo shares his top fashion influence
Black dandyism: Met Gala to highlight Black influence in fashion
Black dandys and clothiers are being celebrated with this year’s Met Gala theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
NEW YORK − Colman Domingo remembers three men who shaped his sense of fashion: his brother, stepfather and biological father.
Perhaps the flashiest of the three was his father, also named Colman, whose wardrobe ranged from “white, very tight, Italian flared trousers” to “preacher robes that showed another part of him where he was representing the Lord.”
“Although ironically, he was one of the biggest womanizers that this planet has ever seen,” the Oscar-nominated “Sing Sing” and “Rustin” star added, which drew a big laugh from the audience.
Domingo, 55, spoke at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during a media preview for the Costume Institute’s spring exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Domingo is a co-chair for May 5’s Met Gala, which serves as a fundraiser for the institute.
Domingo shared a quote from “the great George C. Wolfe” about “the creative and innovative spirit of black people in shaping trends in fashion”: ” ‘God created black people and black people created style.’ “
Inside The Met’s spring exhibit
The exhibit “Superfine” was organized by the Costume Institute’s head curator Andrew Bolton. The exhibit is drawn from the 2009 book “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity” by Monica L. Miller, who served as a guest curator.
The exhibit uses fashion, accessories, art and more to explore the multicultural blend of African and European styles during the Atlantic diaspora − the mass uprooting of African communities as a result of the slave trade between the 16th and 19th centuries.
The pieces range from leather boots worn in the 1800s by French playwright Alexandre Dumas to one of Prince’s trademark white polyester shirts, from his “Purple Rain” era in 1984.
Not far away from Prince’s ruffles is Bianca Saunders. The British menswear designer previously dressed Usher for the Met Gala. This is her first time on display in The Met; Saunders is “shaking a bit” over the shock that she has three looks inside the exhibit.
As she stood in front of one of her designs, a white cotton shirt and black twill pants, Saunders said that she always looked at dandyism through her friends and “how they can present themselves.” Dandyism is a form of both self-expression and rebellion. “I feel like all the men that I do dress are dandy.”
Saunders will outfit two men on this year’s Met Gala red carpet.
The exhibit “reminds me of all the things that I’ve worked so hard to be a part of,” she reflected. “I’m just really taking it in.”
Instagram executive Adam Mosseri on fashion and celebrities
Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, walked into the gathering alongside Domingo and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour. The executive called fashion an important piece of content for Instagram, a partner this year for the fundraiser. He shared that when he meets celebrities, they ask “the questions you might expect” about Instagram.
“People often want to know what’s happening, what’s going to change, how to best leverage (IG) for their businesses or to tell their stories,” Mosseri said. “I get a lot of feedback as well and that’s just part of the job.”
Past guests at Instagram’s table inside the gala have included Tyla and Doja Cat, along with Domingo. For the sixth year, the platform will also host a creator watch party. The event takes place inside The Mark hotel, which has turned into the unofficial headquarters for the evening.
“I just love meeting creative people from all different industries and getting to hear a little bit about how they do what they do,” Mosseri said. “That I think is one of the perks of the job.”
