Blue Ivy approves the name ‘manager Blue’ during Beyoncé’s tour

Blue Ivy Carter may be young but she’s already an icon — and she knows it, giving the name “manager Blue” a big stamp of approval.

The 13-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z has had the internet buzzing as she’s shown off her stellar moves and has taken a lead role on her mom’s Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour. Even before the tour kicked off in Los Angeles on April 28, fans have jokingly called her Beyoncé’s manager.

Now though, it’s clear Blue knows who’s in charge. During Beyoncé’s May 4 show in Los Angeles, fan @garedennn captured the moment Blue Ivy saw her sign, which read, “We Love U Manager Blue.”

When the young superstar caught wind of it onstage, she made sure to point it out and give it a big thumbs up.

Of course, Blue Ivy has been blowing fans away with her fierce performances and stellar moves throughout the show. Videos of her performances have made rounds on social media since the start of the tour. However, the her rock star performance is not all that surprising.

This is the second tour where Blue has appeared as a backup dancer, though this time she seems to be leading. Blue made her debut on the 2023 Renaissance World Tour in Paris. She also danced with her mom during the Beyoncé Bowl NFL halftime show on Christmas Day 2024.

The nine-city “Cowboy Carter” tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26. Beyoncé has already to made history with her scheduled tour dates, including by playing the most dates at SoFi Stadium of any artist. Her next stop will be in Chicago on May 15.
